Animal Feed Compounding

Animals have differing nutritional requirements through their lifetime and it is important that they are provided with appropriate, carefully balanced, diets at all times.

As feed accounts for around 60% of the cost of pig meat production, incorrect feeding can be very expensive. Feeding excessive levels of proteins and other compounds is wasteful and results in excessive excretion of undigested compounds such as those containing nitrogen and phosphorous, both of which can be pollutants.
