Terms of Reference for the Pig Technical Committee
The role of the Pig Technical Committee is to contribute to and support the decision-making processes for BPEX Research, Development and Knowledge Transfer:
- KT, R&D budgets, and their disposition
- Appropriate partnership arrangements for the funding and forward progression of all elements of the BPEX KT, R&D Strategy
- Balance of activities within and between the Research, Development and Knowledge Transfer elements of the BPEX KT, R&D Strategy
- Commissioning of R&D
- Monitoring of research, development, demonstration and knowledge transfer activities against timetable, budget and agreed outcomes
- Strategic planning and tactical operations
- Effective connectivity between all the elements of the Research, Development, and Knowledge Transfer continuum
- Development of collaborative working relationships both within Great Britain and with other international leaders in pig science
- Effective assessment of the potential rate of return on investment in research, development and knowledge transfer.
